Dale House is a small independent private school, which encourages self-confident, hard working, responsible, polite and considerate children.
It has a broad curriculum which caters for a variety of academic abilities and provides great opportunities for sport, music, dance, art, drama, and foreign languages (Spanish and French).
We have an excellent examination record, and a good relationship with and successful placement of pupils at Wakefield Girls High School, Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Silcoates School, Bradford Grammar School, Batley Grammar School, etc.
Above all, Dale House is a very happy school where children enjoy life to the full, discovering more about the world around them.
Dale House School is housed in a former Edwardian parish hall built in 1907. The school was founded in 1997.
We are registered with the DfE, Ofsted and the Kirklees Early Years Service, and we are a member of the Independent Schools Association.
We strive to uncover hidden talents and develop individual strengths in a caring and supportive learning environment.
Our pastoral care is an outstanding feature of the school, as is our ‘after school’ activities programme.
The school operates Early and Late Clubs from Monday to Friday during term time, so pupils can be cared for between 8.00am and 5.30pm. The school also runs a ‘Holiday Club’ in the main school holidays:
Christmas (2 weeks), Easter (3 weeks), and Summer (6 weeks).
